What is ArcheAge Chronicles?

ArcheAge Chronicles is XLGAMES’ online action RPG in the world of Auroria, set about 50 years after the original ArcheAge. It was announced as ArcheAge 2 on 24 September 2024 and later renamed. It is not a second, separate sequel sitting next to this one.

Genre, without picking one label

Steam files the game with MMO tags. Producer material calls the same game a discovery-driven online action RPG. I keep both phrases. The combat is action combat with parries and cancels, not a tab-target hotbar from 2014, and the world is shared: channels of about 100 people, parties, and instanced dungeons for up to four.

Launch scope from the store and the news release: three regions, four classes, eight weapons, 60-plus zones, more than 1,000 exploration points, and a main story listed at 30-plus hours. RaidDex counts 366 main-story quests. That count is a database snapshot, not a sentence on the store page.

What it is not

It is not ArcheAge S, Kakao Games’ quarter-view PC project aimed at 2027. It is not ArcheAge WAR, the mobile game. It is not a private server, and this site does not point at one. The original ArcheAge’s North American and European service ended on 27 June 2024.
