Play ArcheAge Chronicles with friends

To play ArcheAge Chronicles together you need the same server first, then a party, then the same channel. Different servers cannot see each other, and Early Access does not offer a transfer.

Three steps that actually work

Pick one server at creation and tell your friends the name before they confirm. The 1 November notice says transfers are closed for Early Access and that cross-server play is not available. A party for dungeons is four people. Invites can cross channels. The party itself stays intact when members stand on peace and conflict channels. A button to jump to the leader’s channel exists only in some states; the known-issues post says that button is being reworked.

If the leader leaves or someone drops group at the wrong moment, quest progress can stick. The workaround in the launch notes is to keep the party until the next area. A disconnect inside a dungeon keeps the instance progress. It does not hand your key to a friend.

Keys and consoles

Dungeon keys and similar items are per character. Throne of Hinnon is the example people hit first: four players, four keys. Console friends are not in this client. Cross-play with PS5 or Xbox is not announced, and those stores have no downloadable build yet.
